About Wheelournames
Wheelournames is a free, privacy-first random picker wheel built for teachers, streamers, and anyone who needs a fair, transparent way to decide something. Paste a list of names, numbers, prizes, or options, spin the wheel, and get a result everyone in the room can see happen.
What makes it different
Every spin draws from crypto.getRandomValues, your browser's cryptographically secure random source — the same primitive used to generate security keys. The animation is cosmetic; the winner is fixed the moment you spin.
Everything runs client-side. Your entries, colours, and winner history stay in your own browser and are never uploaded unless you deliberately save a wheel to the cloud. There are no intrusive ads, no tracking pixels, and no account required to use any feature of the wheel. The interface is available in 23 languages, and once the page has loaded the wheel keeps working even if your connection drops — which matters in classrooms with unreliable Wi-Fi and at live events.
The fairness simulator
Claiming randomness is easy; showing it is better. The built-in fairness simulator on the home page runs hundreds or thousands of virtual spins through the exact same engine and graphs how often each entry won. Over enough trials each entry converges on its share of the wheel, so you can prove the tool is unbiased rather than take our word for it — useful when a class, a chat, or a giveaway audience asks whether the draw was rigged.
