Random teams without the arguments
Picking teams by captain is the fastest way to make somebody feel bad. Spinning for them takes the social weight out of it: nobody chose you last, the wheel did. Because each draw happens live on a shared screen, the process is visible from the first name to the last and there is nothing to dispute afterwards.
Where it works best
Sports teams. Split a pickup squad, assign five-a-side sides, or draw doubles partners for a tournament ladder.
Classroom groups. Break a class into project groups without the same friendship clusters forming every single time, and without spending five minutes of lesson time negotiating.
Hackathon teams. Mix strangers into balanced squads at the start of an event, then re-spin any leftovers into the smallest team.
Office project assignments. Rotate who owns the on-call week, who runs retro, or which pair takes the unglamorous ticket — visibly at random, so it never looks like a management preference.
Everything runs in your browser and the list is saved locally, so tomorrow's session picks up with the same names already loaded.
Frequently asked questions
Paste every name, then spin and note each result for Team 1 until it is full, removing each winner as they are picked. Whoever remains on the wheel is Team 2.
Yes. Enable auto-remove in Customize, or click Remove from wheel in the winner dialog. Removed names stay in the history panel and can be restored with one click.
Yes. Your list is saved in this browser automatically, and you can export it to a file or save it to the cloud from the Save menu to reopen on another device.
Yes. Use the Share button to send a link containing the exact list, so a colleague or co-captain can open the same wheel on their own screen.
